Ingredients

1 1/2 cupWheat flour, white, all-purpose, enriched, bleached

1/2 tspLeavening Agents

1/4 tspTable Salt

1/2 cupWater

1 1/2 cupSugar, granulated

1/2 tspVanilla Extract

1/4 tspAlmond Oil

3/4 tspCream of Tarter

1 pinchPowdered Sugar
Directions
1. Heat the oven to 325º F. Separate the eggs.2. Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
3. In a large bowl, beat the egg yolks and set aside.
4. Gradually add the cold water and beat until mixture is pale, yellow and foamy.
5. Gradually beat in the granulated sugar until it is completely dissolved. beat in the vanilla and almond extract.
6. Sift the flour mixture over the yolk mixture about 1/3 at a time and fold in.
7. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff but not dry. Fold into the flour mixture.
8. Turn dough into an ungreased tube, cake pan and bake until top springs back when touched lightly, about 40 minutes or more. Invert pan and cool.
9. Sprinkle lightly with confectioners sugar and serve.
